DESCRIPTION:<p>Clapboardtree Nursery School\, located at 340 Clapboardtree Street in Westwood\, will hold its annual Open House on Friday\, December 5th from 12\:00 – 1\:30. All are welcome to explore the school's classrooms and playground and to meet the director of the nursery school and the teachers. Clapboardtree Nursery School believes in an early childhood experience rich with language\, social\, cognitive and motor opportunities. The school strives to create a secure environment which supports the individual growth of each of the students.</p>
 <p>Clapboardtree Nursery School offers two programs\: a Four-Year Old Nursery School Program divided into a Morning Class and an Afternoon Class and a Pre-K TreeHouse Program for older children and for children looking for an additional year of pre-school. The Four-Year Old Nursery School Program meets four days a week (Monday – Thursday). The Morning Class is held from 8\:30 a.m. to 11\:30 a.m. and has up to 18 students with two lead teachers. The Afternoon Class is held from 11\:45 a.m. to 2\:45 p.m. and has up to 12 students with a lead teacher and an assistant teacher. To be eligible to attend these programs children must be four-years old by September 1st of the year in which they enter this program. The TreeHouse Program meets four days a week (Monday – Thursday) from 9\:30 a.m. to 12\:30 p.m. Children must be five-years old by September 30th of the year in which they enter this program. Class size is limited to 12 students. A lead teacher and an assistant work with this class.</p>
 <p>Various enrichment programs are also offered throughout the year to both the Four-Year Old Program and the TreeHouse Program\, including visits from specialists in music\, movement and science. The school also has its own literacy specialist\, who regularly visits each class and provides information on early and pre-reading skills to parents. Regular visits from the local librarian makes story time extra special. In 1994\, Clapboardtree Nursery School was the first pre-school in Westwood to be <a href=\\"http\://www.naeyc.org/accreditation/\\">accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children Academy for Early Childhood Program Accreditation</a> (&quot\;NAEYC&quot\;) and was the first pre-school in Westwood to be re-accredited under NAEYC's new system.</p>

DESCRIPTION:<p>The Westwood Young Women's Club will hold its annual Winterfest fundraiser on Saturday\, December 6\, 2008 from 10\:00a.m. to 2\:00p.m.at Westwood High School\, 200 Nahatan Street.  The club is very excited to extend the hours of the event this year so that everyone can attend!  This annual family event features entertainment\, raffles\, a silent auction\, kid's crafts\, and an assortment of games.  \\"Pocket lady\\" and \\"Pocket Pal\\" will be strolling through Winterfest with their pockets full of prizes for the little ones!  A librarian from the Westwood Children's Library will be on hand to read stories by the fireplace.  Entertainment will be provided by My Gym\, Personal Best Karate\, Miss Janet's Dancers\, Marcie from Marcie and Me\, Violet the Clown and Jim Armstrong of the Armstrong Brothers. Photos with Santa by Real Life Arts will be available for a nominal fee.  Refreshments will be available as well as homemade \\"nut-free\\" treats at the WYWC Bake Shop table. The event is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Winterfest is an official Toys-for-Tots collection site for new\, unwrapped toys.
