A little after 4pm today, the legislative logjam over the home rule petition to permit beer and wine sales by potential Westwood Station tenant Wegmans was resolved and the home rule petition was adopted/passed. The bill now goes to the Senate for enactment and on to the Governor for his signature.

Passage of the Home Rule petition by the House puts an end to the quorum-questioning procedural maneuvers that have prevented or delayed legislative action during the informal session since August.
